Deutsche Telekom, Vodafone UK and Telefónica UK Projects: flexi or obsolete equipment swapping and new hardware integration were applied in this role. New Nokia equipment with single RAN architecture and RAN sharing (more than one operator) were implemented and remote configuration was needed. After hardware replacement and local configuration done, remote processes were deployed to integrate and optimize new nodes in the network. Some scripting and troubleshooting were executed to provide the right configuration and/or parameters allowing nodes be able to worktogether serving users with best network quality. Multi-disciplinary technical application of a full range of ICT with C3 capabilities with some complexity and risk in research and development. Field Engineers support was provided to help with installation and local primary configuration. Planning and work preparation was schedule for everything works perfect at integration day.

BabyGuard -Monitoring and Supervision in Child Transportation

In today's busy world, caregivers often overlook their most important responsibility: the safety of their children. This article introduces BabyGuard, an innovative safety alert system designed for car seats to help parents who transport children in vehicles. With rising incidents of fatal situations involving children left in cars, there is a critical need for effective solutions. Unlike existing market alternatives that can be easily forgotten or removed by kids, BabyGuard is permanently attached to the rear seat and activates when body pressure is detected. It ensures the seatbelt is secured, verifies the vehicle doors are locked, and monitors temperature and humidity levels inside. Additional sensors, including millimeter wave radar and carbon monoxide detection, enhance its safety features. Data is securely stored and can be accessed via a cross-platform application, allowing alerts to be sent to parents through Bluetooth or SMS. This life-saving system aims to prevent tragedies and assist caregivers in managing their responsibilities more effectively.

Adequate Performance for Real-Time Processing in Autonomous Vehicles

The development of autonomous vehicles (AVs) hinges on their ability to process vast amounts of sensor data in real time to ensure safe and intelligent decision-making. Meeting strict timing and reliability constraints is essential for tasks such as perception, localization, planning, and control. This paper presents a comprehensive preliminary study and state-of-the-art review of real-time system requirements and performance strategies for AV platforms. We examine the critical role of real-time operating systems (RTOS), edge computing, and AI-based inference engines in reducing latency and ensuring determinism. The paper also explores middleware solutions, time-sensitive networking (TSN), and heterogeneous hardware architectures designed to support predictable and low-latency data pipelines. Key challenges-including task scheduling under dynamic workloads, sensor fusion delays, and simulation fidelity-are discussed in depth. Finally, a conceptual system architectures and representative simulation environments that illustrate current research directions toward scalable and certifiable real-time AV platforms is presented.
